I've followed the Fitness Blender plans before and always found them to be incredibly effective, interesting and fun.

If you've never heard of Fitness Blender before, they're a husband and wife duo called Kelli and Daniel who have tonnes of free workout videos on YouTube.

You can just go ahead and pick a video, but I am definitely the sort of person who needs to follow a plan, otherwise I feel a bit lost in all the choice.

The Fitness Blender website is home to loads of different plans tailored to suit whatever you personally want to get out of a workout - whether it's fat loss, muscle gain or even to build a booty! This plan, and the ones I have followed before, are all designed for busy people, so each of the workouts are around 30 minutes. You do five workouts a week, with an option sixth workout which is usually something low impact like stretching.

Over the first four weeks of the eight week plan, whilst I can definitely feel and see a difference in my overall strength, fitness and tone, I wasn't seeing the results on the scale that I wanted to see. I know the scale is not the be-all-and-end-all and I'm not a slave to that number, but I wanted to speed my progress along a little, so I decided to download the 4 Week Vegan Meal Plan from Fitness Blender to accompany my workouts.

I'm now at the end of week one, so I thought I'd share my thoughts and experience so far, in case anyone else is thinking about downloading the plan. What is it?

The basic premise of the plan is built around three small meals per day plus three snacks. The plan is set out in calorie categories, for each meal, you can have a smaller or larger portion to fit your calorie allowance for the day.

The allowances run from per day through to if you're looking to build mass. I log my food in MyFitnessPal so I can keep track of my macros. By the way, this is not a sponsored post whatsoever, I am just sharing my personal thoughts and recommendations about what I have been doing to get healthy! Anyway, you can search the huge library of Fitness Blender workout videos by length of time, focus area of the body, difficulty level, etc.

You can also save your favorites to your account so its really easy to find them the next time.

My very favorite when I started was the 25 minute Kickboxing Cardio, because there's nothing better than flailing your legs and punching the air like a ninja in your sports bra in the comfort of your own living room!

While all of their online videos are free, I still felt I lacked the motivation to combine the fitness part with healthier eating until I found a part of the Fitness Blender site that had meal plans and workout programs that even I could very affordably download. Both are basically downloadable PDF booklets that I leave open on my laptop to look at through out the day as guides. The fitness program basically just lays out a workout plan to do each day using the free videos from their site, so it probably isn't necessary for some to download, but I am more likely to stick with something if there is a clear to-do list laid out in front of me so its been very helpful for me!

I am four days in and have definitely been challenged each day, but the ever changing routine has kept me motivated and interested.

As for the Vegetarian Meal plan, I chose it because I am already a vegetarian, but there are also regular or vegan meal plans too. The meal plan focuses on "clean eating"for 30 days, but like I said, it is not as restrictive as others I have done.

It gives you a grocery list at the start of ever week, and then tells you EXACTLY what to eat for three meals and three light snacks a day and how to prepare each. I was disappointed, however, when I took a look at my newly downloadd meal plan and saw that many of the recipes are pretty bare bones.

Some foods are combined that I wouldn't normally eat together e. Maybe this is just part of what it means to "eat clean", but I would rather search some more interesting recipes on my own and come up with a healthy meal plan that way.

I still love Fitness Blender, but I regret this download and wanted to let others know that if you consider yourself I have been having trouble with eating habits actually.

Before this, some mental issues as well as craves for sweets lead to my failure on weight loss and hurts my body a lot. I now realize how stupid I was and I am glad this plan saved me. At least I did not even to think about what I am going to eat next. I just follow the plan and already finished the second round.

This plan is actually helping me building the mindset about healthy living, as well as the moderation thought. An accurate measure of food is necessary in the sense that help to develop a habit. And I believe the more I rotate this plan, the less I need the accurate measure.

By Brin Novak Feb 14, I'm excited after reviewing this - the meals look yummy and realistic and easy. The only reason I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars is that they call for "fat free" cottage cheese They said in one of their videos I watched that they believe in whole foods only, no "fat free" foods.

That's the philosophy I believe in, so I was very disappointed to see the meal plan suggested a "fat free" cottage cheese.Nice answers in replace of the question with real point of view and explaining about that. Regardless, I am down to shedding the last 10 pounds of my pregnancy weight gain. The one critique I would give is probably adding an example of what a cheat meal should look like because let's face it we live in a world where pizza exists.
